In China, it's the year of the rabbit, but here at Kangaroo Kabinets we are celebrating the year of the Kangaroo! A kangaroo is really a large rabbit with smaller ears anyways, right? Kangaroo Kabinets were introduced here in the US by Arrow Sewing Cabinets in 2008. However, this wasn't the first time our Aussies, Dingoes, Kangaroos and Joeys had been here - in fact they had been here for the past 15 years as Koala Sewing Studios. Hmmm, we should probably check those mates' visas! In 2008, Arrow bought the rights to sell the former Koala cabinets here in the US, but we had to change the name. We thought that Kangaroo Kabinets reflected their proud Aussie heritage. But, we didn't just stop at changing the name, we changed the pricing too! If you have longed for a Koala cabinet for years, but could not afford it.... wait no more mates! Kangaroo Kabinets MSRP is almost half what Koala's MSRP was for the SAME EXACT unit! If that doesn't' make you have a g'day mate, we don't know what will!
Don't forget, we also need to name our Kangaroo mascot. Please visit our contest page and submit your suggestions. You could win one of our awesome Joey storage units!

ReplyDeleteWho (what name) won this contest? I saw the little Joey did get named the name I suggested!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a Koala Sew Mate II cabinet, white finish, and want a solid insert to put in the opening when my machine is in the storage position (not the clear acrylic custom-cut insert for flatbed use of a machine). My cabinet doubles as a sewing area AND my craft table. I see online that the Koala cabinet is now owned by a USA company, Arrow. The only local dealer just called back and said they can't help me, "Old model, can't help."
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if this is true, or to whom I should talk.
Many thanks! Stella
